Day 5 of NaNoWriMo

Well I missed two days of writing because of other obligations. But I was able to write again tonight and I'm now up to 31,818 words! Having gone over what I'd written previously I was really feeling like my story was moving WAY too fast at the beginning, so I'm starting back even further and I feel like it is going along much better now. I think now when I get to where I was before it won't feel quite so rushed. Whew!

Nanowrimo 2014

I'm going to try Nanowrimo again this year. I didn't succeed last year, but I'm gonna give it another go. I'm not writing to win in the contest, I'm writing to win against me. Since I've never finished anything I've started. I'm working on a wip that has 28,000 words alread, working title The Ninja. You can find me on the Nanowrimo.org site if you want to buddy me. The more the merrier!

Here's a little on it!

Genre: Fantasy
Synopsis: A ninja and a lonely young widow keep running into each other. Are there ties of fate that bind them together?
Excerpt:She turned away from the window, the breeze blowing through the room, rustling the curtains. Maybe now that there was a breeze she would be able to sleep. She started back towards her bed, but stopped. Suddenly, even though she hadn’t heard a sound, she could tell there was someone else in the room. She turned quickly and saw him, standing in the window, the sheer curtains flowing behind him. He was all in black, with a mask hiding the lower side of his face. She started to back away from him and opened her mouth to say something. But before she could speak he was in front of her and grabbed her tightly covering her mouth with his hand. She stared into his eyes, startled. Their black depths warning her to be quiet. For a minute all she heard was the beating of her own heart, but then she heard footsteps on the roof so soft she almost didn’t hear them. Someone, no more than one, was looking for something. Her eyes went to the ceiling, and then back to his, frightened this time. Together they listened to the faint footsteps, and after another minute they seemed to be gone.

First Post

I'm mostly only creating a blog because Blogger keeps whining that I don't have one even though I have an account. I really only have an account so that I can follow (wait, is follow the right word? I lose track of all these social media sites terminology, but you get the idea) some wonderful authors and friends! :-)

So rather than stick around and try and see my thoughts, which are unimportant, see who I follow and go check out their blogs!!!
